Thomas Tipton grew up and graduated high school from Water Valley, Texas. Thomas played two years of 11-man football and two years of six man football while attending WV. Thomas also participated in cross country, basketball, golf and Track & field. Thomas attended Angelo State University and graduated in the spring of 2009. While at ASU, Thomas played Wide Receiver for the Angelo State Rams football team and ran for the ASU track & Field team. In 2009, Thomas was selected to join the San Angelo Stampede Express Arena football team as a Wide Receiver. Thomas has been a Coach at Richland Springs ISD for the past 7 years. He was an assistant coach for 5 years at RS ISD before becoming the Offensive Coordinator in 2017. He was promoted to AD/HC in 2018 and led his team to the State Quarter Finals with an 11-2 record for the season. In his time at RS ISD Thomas has coached 22 All-State Football Players, including 3 State MVPs, and has been a part of 3 State Championship football titles. Coach Tipton was also the Head Track & Field Coach at RS ISD. In his time at Richland Springs, he has coached 18 State Qualifiers and 2 State Champion sprinters from 2012-2019.
Coach Tipton has been married to his wife, Sunni, for 8 years. Together, they have 3 children, Kinsley (8), Kooper (5) and Kamden (1). Coach Tipton and his family are excited and honored to join the Viper family!
